The holiday shopping season starts earlier every year, but not at three Alabama malls. According to al.com, Huntsville's Parkway Place Mall, Dothan's Wiregrass Commons Mall, and Gadsden Mall in Gadsden will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The owner of the malls, CBL Associates & Properties, announced that its properties will not be open so that workers can spend the holiday with their families. The malls will open at 6 a.m. for Black Friday Shopping.

Do you think they're making the right call? I would say that I agree 100%. It's awesome to score some sweet shopping deals--but at what cost? Sure, I may be able to buy a quesadilla maker for a dollar, but in order for me to obtain that deal, the store from which I buy it needs to be fully staffed--meaning those people miss out on spending Thanksgiving with their families.
