Alert, alert, this B101.7 Flashback Friday we're backing up the clock a decade to the year 2006 where one top charting artist sent an 'S.O.S!'

The distress call comes from Robyn Fenty. Oh, that name doesn't ring a bell? How about Robyn's middle name, Rihanna? Now, you know who I'm talking about.

It was 10 years ago in February of 2006 that Rihanna released 'S.O.S (Rescue Me).' It was the lead single from her second album A Girl Like Me. Rihanna really arrived to the music scene with this chart topping song, spending three weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Young Rihanna breaks out the dance moves for the music video below.

If you're a fan of 80s music, then you probably recognize the song sampling the 1981 Soft Cell song 'Tainted Love.' See the early 80s music video below.

Listen to B101.7 Friday afternoon at 5 for when I feature the spotlight song on the radio! Saturday night catch a whole night of flashbacks during the B101.7 Saturday Night Party, starting at 8 p.m.
