Tuscaloosa Police responded a 911 call last night, when a local woman notified them that someone had fired shots into her house.

The unidentified woman, 40, told officers that she was home, in the 3900 block of Fosters Ferry Road, (the Washington Square Neighborhood), at approximately 10:15 p.m. along with her son and nephew, when someone fired shots into the residence. Fortunately, no one was injured, according to Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit assistant commander Capt. Kip Hart.

The woman told officers that her nephew has been involved in an ongoing dispute with another man about a woman, Hart said, which may have been the motive for the shooting.

The woman informed law enforcement that she saw a white vehicle leaving the area shortly after the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
