It's Halloween, y'all, and that means it's time to celebrate. Snatch a handful of your kids' trick-or-treat candy, sit down, and watch this movie clip that caused me to have nightmares for a solid three years. You might want to get your therapist on speed dial. JUST SAYING.

When I was a child nothing, and I mean NOTHING, terrified me more than this clip from Disney's Fantasia. The animation set to "Night on Bald Mountain" was created to mirror that of the actual orchestral piece, only Disney upped their game a bit and included demons, ghosts literally ascending from their graves, and oh you know, Satan.

THE DEVIL. Like, the straight up Prince of Darkness in the midst of an animated movie full of whimsy and fun. Little Meg was not prepared for this horror. In fact, I can't even watch the entire movement without feeling the heebie-jeebies.

Thanks for the memories, Disney. I know times were hard back in the '40's, but Satan in a kid's movie? CREEPY, TERRIFYING FIRE DEMON SATAN? Nope. NOPE. NOPE. No way. If I ever let my kid watch Fantasia, we're fast-forwarding through this until she's like fifteen and in a weird goth phase. And even then I will probably leave the room.
