Flashback Friday Spotlight on Paula Abdul’s Summer Hit, ‘Opposites Attract’

Paula Abdul's entertaining return for a an 'Opposites Attract' reboot with James Corden lands her in our B101.7 Flashback Friday spotlight!

Many say most of the credit given to the success of 'Opposites Attract' is due to the music video. The perfectly cheesy choreographed pairing of Abdul and the cartoon cat, MC Skat Cat! So good that it won the 'Best Short Form Music Video' Grammy Award.

Back in the late 80s, Paul Abdul already had five hits off the wildly popular album, Forever Your Girl. 'Opposites Attract' was the sixth single! Sixth and another number 1 hit in the U.S. and in many countries around the world.

So, this week, it was unexpected display of awesome to see Paul Abdul recreate the video James Corden, the host of the Late Late Show. James brought the cat to life, dressing the part and hitting the stage with Paula. The pair moves through the choreographed moves with ease in this unforgettable return.
