The spotlight for this B101.7 Flashback Friday celebrates the announcement of a major concert coming to Alabama.

Just announced, Janet Jackson is headed our way! That's right, a third leg to her Unbreakable World Tour has been added with dates next summer. Janet will be at Legacy Arena in Birmingham on Sunday, May 29. The tickets go on sale next Saturday, September 19.

Janet Jackson in Alabama, now that's big time!

The spotlight today goes back to her third album, Control. Without a question a significant part of her career, as it catapult to major pop star status.

Control delivered 6 big hits:
1. 'Nasty'
2. 'What Have You Done For Me Lately'
3. 'Control'
4. 'The Pleasure Principle'
5. 'When I Think of You'
6. 'Let's Wait Awhile'

Let's dig up the video for 'What Have You Done For Me Lately.' So 80s for sure, with it's rad fashions at the local diner. Pay attention to the girl Janet is talking with in the opening scene. Let's see if you recognize that face. Here's a hint, American Idol judge. One more hint, 'Cold Hearted,' and 'Straight Up.' I'm talking about the one time Laker girl, Paula Abdul. Before becoming a pop star herself, Paula was a very well known choreographer. She was enlisted to help on this video too.
