It was quite possibly the biggest touchdown pass in Alabama football history, and true freshman DeVonta Smith was on the receiving end of Tua Tagovailoa's 41-yard throw.

The Louisiana native had just six total catches on the season and never made more than one in any single game this year. But when his number was called on Monday night in overtime, Smith beat his man down the sideline and brought in the catch for a walk-off touchdown.

The 26-23 victory gave the Crimson Tide its 17th national championship and Nick Saban his sixth title. After the game, Smith spoke to reporters about the huge moment and was humble in victory.
