The late David "Kidd" Kraddick has been voted into the National Radio Hall of Fame, as the beloved morning host and founder of Kidd's Kids joins the 2016 class of inductees.

We lost a special person in 2013, a person with a gift to entertain and to make a difference in the lives of so many. Kidd delivered plenty of laughs with his quick wit and outrageous impersonations of real people like J-Si's wife Kinsey and Kellie's dad Jerry Rasbery. Kidd also created quite a few characters through the years like, Must Be Nice Guy.

Kidd also had a big heart, as he established a charity called Kidd's Kids. Each year, he would take terminally or chronically ill children and their families on the most elaborate escape of their lives to Disney World, all expenses paid. It's comforting to know this charity and the annual trip continues on.

It was 2013 the world lost Kidd Kraddick while attending a Kidd's Kids benefit golf tournament in Louisiana. He died of cardiac disease at the age of 53.

The hall of fame nomination committee selected Kidd for his "contribution to the industry." That he did, making a big impact in the lives of so many. Family, friends and fans of the show should find comfort in the well deserved recognition, as Kidd joins a special group of the finest to entertain the radio waves. The induction serves as way to preserve the legacy.

The very show he created also lives on, you can hear Kellie Rasberry, Big Al Mack, J-Si and Jenna weekday mornings 5AM-10AM on B101.7.

"Keep looking up, cause that's where it's all is!" - Kidd Kraddick
