My Chicago Cubs Are Headed To The World Series!

For the first time since 1945, My Chicago Cubs are headed to The World Series!!!

It became official at 9:45p on Saturday Night, when my Cubbies defeated The Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0 to become The 2016 National League Baseball Champions! This all happened while I was on the air doing my First "Saturday Nite Regrind" show here on Star 1017!.

As a Lifelong Chicago Cubs Fan, I honestly thought that this was something that I'd NEVER see in my lifetime. This was a definite bucket list moment for sure! And despite rumors to the contrary, I am NOT 71 years old! (Which was the LAST time my Cubs went to the World Series back in 1945). By the way, we lost that series in 7 games to The Detroit Tigers. The last time we actually WON a World Series was back in 1908....108 Years Ago! To say that we're overdue is an understatement.

Imagine if our Alabama Crimson Tide hadn't won a National Football Championship since 1908? You can't!  Because we here in Tuscaloosa are so used to Winning! In any event, I am so PUMPED for My Chicago Cubs to take on The Cleveland Indians in Game 1 Tuesday Night, in The 2016 World Series!

I still have Goosebumps and Tears in my eyes as I think of this HISTORIC sporting event which happened last night. This is just SURREAL! So, I say BRING ON The Indians, and may the BEST team win! My Prediction by the way... My Cubs in 6 Games:-)
