Kidabaloo is Saturday at the Belk Activity Center in Tuscaloosa, and I don't think anyone is more excited to attend than my daughter. We've been talking about Kidabaloo every day!

My daughter, Dolores (aka Dolly aka Dodo Bird aka Birdie Bee), is three years old. She's full of life and energy, so there's never a dull moment in our house. She likes to listen to me when I'm on the air, and she gets SO PSYCHED when we're riding in the car and she hears my voice on a commercial. She'll be like, "MOMMY. MOMMY. THAT'S YOU! THAT'S YOU ON THE RAY-BEE-OH!"

She first heard about Kidabaloo on our morning commute. We were stuck in traffic on Highway 11 (people who live in/around Cottondale know what I'm talking about; it's the worst), and we were listening to the radio. She heard my Kidabaloo commercial and immediately wanted to know about the "bounce castles, faces paintings, and aca-tib-i-tees." She asked me when Kidabaloo was; I told her, and she's been dying to go ever since.

She wakes up in the morning and is like, "Mommy, is it Kidabaloo today?" When I told her it was just two days away, she literally jumped up and down. After dinner last night, she was singing some song she made up about going to Kidabaloo with her best friend from day care, and when I tried to get it on video, she stopped--so I made the video above. She got a little camera shy, but you can see she's psyched to go to Kidabaloo!

Make sure you join us Saturday at the Belk Activity Center. Kidabaloo starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door.
