An Alabama fan was reportedly fired today for hanging a Crimson Tide flag from the side of Texas A&M's football stadium.

Kyle Field is undergoing a $450 million renovation project that will result in it becoming the largest SEC stadium for the 2014 season. As construction continues in earnest as the first game rapidly approaches, a photo surfaced this morning of an Alabama flag hanging off the stadium.

FoxSports.com shared the photo first on Monday morning, which resulted in the crane operator being fired hours later. From that story:

Until this weekend an Alabama fan was a crane operator working on the renovations to Texas A&M's Kyle Field. Then he put an Alabama flag on the side of the stadium.

The reaction to the lighthearted act seems a bit harsh, but we've also learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to SEC football.
