The Druid City Iron Dog event is Saturday (May 14) at Lake Lurleen State Park! The event pairs people and dogs for a casual and totally fun time!

If the name 'iron dog' scares you, don't be, this event is more casual and laid back than you realize.

Sure, three course phases are planned which is similar to the well known Iron Man competitions.

At the Iron Dog, there will be a scenic 2-mile course for running or walking. The next phases is the optional dog agility course. It's really quite easy, and designed so any dog could handle it, yet you can still skip past it. The last phase is the optional dog swimming. Sure, some dogs will love this and others will note like it all. That's fine, you can skip this phase too.

See, the course is there to do what you want with it. Simply go with the thought of enjoying time with your four-legged friend, along with the other teams.
