Severe Storms Likely Tomorrow in Alabama

Strong to severe storms are possible tomorrow throughout the state, and all modes of severe weather are possible–including tornadoes. 

The National Weather Service in Birmingham forecasts storms tomorrow afternoon through the evening hours. Tuscaloosa is currently in a slight risk area; threats include tornadoes, damaging winds of up to 60 mph, and quarter size hail.

Portions of west Alabama (Hamilton, Winfield, Fayette) are in an elevated risk area; golf ball size hail is possible as well as damaging winds of 60 mph and tornadoes.
