Walt Disney World and Disneyland’s ambitious Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge expansion is still about two years away, but starting today, visitors to Disney’s current Star Wars ride, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, will get an exclusive sneak peak at the place. As announced by the official Disney Parks Blog, the long-running simulator ride has added a visit to “Batuu,” the alien planet that serves as the fictional location of the Star Wars land coming to Disney parks on both coasts. A bit more on this heretofore unseen locale:

This remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but its prominence was bypassed by the rise of hyperspace travel. Now home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe haven for those intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order. While Batuu may be new to us, it is clearly already familiar to many characters from the Star Warssaga as a stepping off point for epic adventures.

With just about a month to go before the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Tours has also added a scene set on Crait, the red-sand planet featured in all of that film’s trailers.
