The Tigers' announced this week that they would not participate in post season activities in order to try to appease and mitigate any further punishment by the NCAA. This news was followed up by a report that Auburn's best recruit, Sharife Cooper, had not been practicing with the team and was considering a move to an international professional team.

The SEC postponed the Auburn Tigers' game with Mississippi State due to COVID-19 issues. Mississippi State fell under the scholarship athlete threshold and therefore the game was moved. One day after the conference moved this weekend's game, Auburn has shut down its football activities due to nine players and three staff members testing positive for COVID-19.

The Auburn Tigers were scheduled to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs this weekend in Starkville, Mississippi. The matchup has now been postponed by the SEC due to COVID-19 protocol issues with the Mississippi State program. The game is tentatively being rescheduled for Dec. 12.

The Southeastern Conference has named its weekly award for the fifth week of the SEC season. Alabama junior quarterback Mac Jones was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and the third time this season. Jones shares the award with Auburn receiver and Paul W. Bryant High School alum, Seth Williams.
