It's no secret that I love Tuscaloosa. I do. I really do. Days like today make me love y'all even more. In less than 24 hours, the people of Tuscaloosa and West Alabama donated over a ton of supplies to be sent to Moore, Oklahoma--a literal TON--over two thousand pounds, headed from the Heart of Dixie to the Heartland.

When news began breaking about an Oklahoma tornado on Monday afternoon, we quickly began seeing the images and videos of the destruction. It immediately hit home. The reaction around the office was to immediately start organizing a donation drive to give back to an area that gave a lot to Tuscaloosa after April 27, 2011...

Officials in Oklahoma have lowered the number of deaths suffered to 24 in the massive tornado that swept through the town of Moore Monday night. Originally, the figure had been as high as 51, probably a result of double-counting.

A massive tornado touched down just south of Oklahoma City on Monday, killing dozens. At least seven of those killed were students at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore. The twister, which measured 2 miles at one point, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials.

A devastating tornado with a reported two-mile wide debris cloud tore through Moore, Oklahoma, on Monday. All of the Townsquare Media stations (95.3 the Bear, B101.7FM, 92.9 WTUG, 99.1 WDGM, and 790 WTSK) in Tuscaloosa will be partnering with many area locations as well as Toomer's for Tuscaloosa to take donations for the people of Oklahoma.
