The Mannequin Challenge…..Haven’t I Seen This Before?

First, it was "The Harlem Shake", Then It Was The "Ice Bucket Challenge", but now the most recent viral craze is "The Mannequin Challenge". Basically, it involves every person in a room remaining in a stationary position, where the only person in the room who is moving is the videographer. A fine example of The Mannequin Challenger was executed perfectly by our Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team, after defeating The LSU Tigers last weekend, as demonstrated in the video above. ROLL TIDE!

The only thing about The Mannequin Challenge that I find surprising, is that it's already been done before, so why has it gone viral? If you don't believe me, just go back 26 years ago and you'll see Madonna doing something similar, in her classic hit song, "Vogue".

And even before Madonna "Vogued", we did something eerily similar to The Mannequin Challenge on my elementary school playground.....Back then, we called it "Freeze Tag".

In any event, it really IS true what a wise person once said, "What Is Old, Eventually Becomes NEW. Again".
