We're all kinds of excited about the announcement of Train coming to Tuscaloosa, as we feature the band in our B101.7 Flashback Friday spotlight!

It was back in 1998 when Train released their debut self titled album featuring what would be their breakthrough hit with 'Meet Virginia.' It took over year to really build up airplay and popularity of the song for the then unknown band from San Francisco. Even the record labels didn't give these a guys a chance at first, proving them wrong!

Songfacts says 'Meet Virginia' was "inspired at least partially by one of Pat Monahan's friends, who according to Pat, would make up all these stories about stuff that Pat supposedly did. Pat says the song isn't supposed to be about one woman, but rather, several people."

Check out the video below featuring Rebecca Gayheart who assumes the role of "Virginia" in the song's music video.
