Santa Claus is coming to town--and so is the Tuscaloosa County Parks and Recreation Authority's 2016 West Alabama Christmas Parade! This year's parade is bigger and better than ever, featuring a record 153 entrants! The parade boasts 35 judged entries, 6 bands, and 5 different horse groups. It will truly be a sight to see--it's the largest Christmas parade in the entire state of Alabama!

This year's Grand Marshals are Rev. David Gay, Jr., pastor or Beluah Baptist Church, and Sandra Baker of the Tuscaloosa County Public Defender's Office.

The 2016 West Alabama Christmas Parade will be held Monday, December 5th. The public is invited to get into the holiday spirit by watching the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse at 5:15 p.m. before the parade begins at 6:30 p.m. The parade will follow its traditional downtown route, beginning on Greensboro Avenue and continuing down University Boulevard towards Queen City Avenue.
