With school being out for the summer, there are numerous locations across the city where lunch is being offered for free, but for some, grocery bills are still increasing.

Then of course, there are families who are always on the go and don’t always enjoy a home-cooked meal but don’t really want a diet consisting of only fast food either.  So, in an effort of helping you maintain your budget through the summer, we’ve compiled a list of places in Tuscaloosa where children eat free or at a discounted rate (although only some say with the purchase of an adult entrée, that’s usually the case for all of these deals):

O’Charley’s - Every day

Sundays

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Mondays

Jalapeno’s - Up to 2 kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée, dine in only.

Los Tarascos - 1 free kid’s meal per adult entree

Tuesdays

Baumhower’s

Applebee’s - Kids eat for $1.99

Pizza Hut - One child per adult (10 and under) eats free 5:30p-7:00p

Bob’s Victory Grille

Wednesdays

Logan’s

Zaxby’s - From 5-8p,  kids meals are $.99 with purchase of an entrée

Los Tarascos -  1 free kid’s meal per adult entree

Thursdays

Captain D’s - Kids dine in 99 cents on Thursdays

Zaxby’s - Niblets are $.99 all day

Keep in mind that our research is ongoing. So, more locations may be added. Also, many of these locations regularly run specials for adults, too. So, if you can get an adult meal at a discounted rate in addition to a free or discounted kids meal, we’d call that a win!
