The City of Northport is set to host the 3rd Annual 'Twas the Night Before Christmas 5K and Fun Run' Friday Night at Kentuck Park! Proceeds to provide gifts to local kids.

The night race, which will begin at 7 p.m., will once again feature a luminary lit race path. All proceeds will benefit the Tuscaloosa County Department of Human Resources Christmas Gift Fund.

"We're excited to team up with DHR again to provide Christmas gifts for local children. The last two races have been a huge success and we look forward to building on that," said Julie Ramm, Community Relations Coordinator for the City of Northport.

"This is really a fun event. The last two years we did something different with the luminaries. It got everyone in the Christmas spirit and it benefited a great cause," said Councilman Rodney Sullivan. "And you don't have to be a runner to get involved. We've had people that walked and enjoyed the luminaries."
