Vanessa Hudgens called in to B101.7's Kidd Kraddick in the Morning on Thursday (1/9) to talk about her new movie!

'Gimme Shelter' is based on a true story and shows us a different Vanessa. This isn't 'High School Musical.' Not at all. This movie is about a teenager who sets out to find her Wall Street father and is forced into the streets in a desperate journey of survival.

Vanessa talks about taking on such a serious and emotionally charged role. Plus, the transformation she went through and the lasting impact from the project.
