It's not too often that a player gets to smash a pie into his coach's face, but Alabama's Avery Johnson took one for a good cause this week.

The men's basketball coach took part in the Whip Cream Challenge, which has gone viral on social media and raises awareness for 17 Strong. The organization helps send young adults with life threatening illnesses on a “victory trip” of their choice. The challenge is similar to the Ice Bucket Challenge, which benefitted ALS research.

The latest trend hit Tuscaloosa this week with Greg Byrne taking part first. He challenged Johnson, who then let Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts and sophomore guard Dazon Ingram deliver a whip cream pie each to his face. As you'll see in the video below, Hurts almost knocked him out of his chair.
