Well, tonight is the night that my Chicago Cubs can FINALLY put to rest a 108 year drought, of not winning a World Series Championship. We can finally put to bed Billy Goat Curses, Fan Interference On Foul Balls, Choking In The Clutch, & simply being beat by better teams in the playoff appearances we've had since 1945. (The last time we were in The World Series).

This journey started last year when my Cubbies made it to The National League Championship Series. We got beat by a better team last year in that series. However, with  the right mixture of Youth, Veterans, plus a Stellar Manager and Coaching Staff, the seeds had clearly been planted for the success of this year. And let me tell you, this year's team has been a FUN one to watch!

This year's Chicago Cubs Team, had the best winning record in baseball during the regular season with 103 victories. We faced formidable opponents in the two playoff series leading up to this point, in both the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers. But on October 22, 2016, we were able to accomplish something we haven't been able to in 71 years......WE WERE HEADED TO THE WORLD SERIES!

Our opponent in this World Series are The Cleveland Indians, a talented team that deserves to be where they are. They're also facing their demons, they haven't won a World Series since 1948. Both teams are WAY overdue.

The Series started in Cleveland with The Indians winning the first game, My Cubs taking the second. Then, the series moved to Chicago, where the Indians won two straight.... that put them up 3 games to 1, with only one more victory to go in order to be crowned World Series Champions. My Cubbies had to battle back somehow, AND WE DID! We won the last game in Chicago, and traveled back to Cleveland to win the next two!  It should be noted, that only 5 Teams in The History Of Major League Baseball have comeback from a 3-1 deficit to win The World Series....My Cubs are trying tonight to become Number 6.

So, the stage is set this evening for the final, and decisive game. One of these teams will become The 2016 World Series Champions. Even if you're not a baseball fan, this series has had the feel of a 12 Round Heavyweight Boxing Title Fight, with BOTH fighters slugging it out, until the last one is standing. Both teams deserve to be applauded. and both fan bases should be proud of their team. I know I am.

As a Life-Long Chicago Cubs Fan, I honestly never thought I'd live to see the day that my Cubs were in The World Series, but here we are. And tonight, we can make HISTORY! So with that, let me just say the three words I've been saying all year long, along with all the other Cubs Fans in The Cubbie Universe; GO CUBS GO!!!..
