This B101.7 Flashback Friday spotlight is on Justin Timberlake's early days, stepping away from the success of NSYNC to release solo material in 2002.

The music world is buzzing over the new single from Justin Timberlake called 'Can't Stop The Feeling.' Many are already proclaiming it the song of the summer, here on Friday, May 6th.

In 2002, JT released his debut solo album Justified. 'Like I Love You' was the lead single, peaking just outside the top 10. This was followed by a pair of top 5 singles, with 'Cry Me A River' and 'Rock Your Body.'

It's interesting to look at 'Cry Me A River' which Justin wrote about former girlfriend Britney Spears. Talk about a power couple with a pair of now pop music icons in a relationship. In the end, the two who shared the camera on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club just weren't meant to be.

Here's the duo singing together way back when!

'Cry Me A River' would win Best Male Video at the 2003 MTV VMAs for Justin Timberlake. Let's take a look at the music video.
