Let me first say, Happy Easter! As I dig through the song files, what in the world could fit a theme of bunny, spring, candy and the such with this weekend? It's time for a B101.7 Flashback Friday Spotlight!

I really couldn't find an obvious choice, then I came across, 'Here Comes the Hotstepper.' The 1994 hip hop song from Jamaican reggae artist Ini Kamoze. You're probably thinking, say what? Hold on, hear me out.

The song's theme is being quick like a rabbit. Sure, this isn't a kids nursery rhyme, that's not the point. Quick. Like Nestle Quick! Ah, do you remember those commercials, featuring that bunny? Haha!

Here's what I'm talking about with this retro 'Nestle Quick' commercial below.

Let's get back to our flashback song, as one line of the song says, 'start like a jackrabbit, finish in front of it.' 'Here Comes the Hotstepper' was huge back in the day! This infectious groove went #1 and was everywhere. Reggae naturally has a warm weather vibe and as we welcome spring this tune is no different.

It's time roll out this old school video!
