Santa, Parades, Holiday Lights and Roll Tide – Things to Do This Weekend
Ho, ho, ho, welcome to the 1st weekend in December around Tuscaloosa! Here are a few fun things to do this weekend!
- Alabama vs. Florida in the SEC Championship! The game is in Atlanta but will be on nearly every TV in Tuscaloosa at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Roll Tide!
- Tucsaloosa Tinsel Trail with Tuscaloosa's One Place! The free trail starts at Tuscaloosa River Market, where you will find the "Busy Bee Christmas Tree." There is also a second row at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater
- Holidays on the River Tuscaloosa Amphitheater! Ice skating in the Deep South has returned.
- Road Trip to See Lights: Christmas at the Park in Fayette, Zoo Lights at the Birmingham Zoo, and Oak Mountain State Park's Festival of Lights.
- Fair in the Square in Demopolis: Jingle Bell Run 5K at 9a, Parade at 11:30a, and fireworks at 6p.
- 'Paw'fect Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption with Callie's Place. Taking place on Saturday 11 to 4p at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater
- Pet Photos with Santa with the Humane Society of West Alabama. This is happening on Sunday from 1 until 5 at Pet Supplies Plus on McFarland Blvd.
BONUS: West Alabama Christmas Parade, Monday night at 6:30p, Downtown Tuscaloosa. The parade starts on Greensboro Avenue and turns right down University Boulevard.
